Chief Minister Samruddha Panchayat Raj Abhiyan
Chief Minister Samruddha Panchayat Raj Abhiyan (2025–2026)
To ensure that all Central and State Government schemes are implemented more dynamically and effectively at the level of local self-governing institutions in rural areas—namely Gram Panchayats, Panchayat Samitis, and Zilla Parishads—and to foster healthy competition among them, the Chief Minister Samruddha Panchayat Raj Abhiyan is being implemented from the year 2025–26 in a competitive format at four levels: Taluka, District, Revenue Division, and State.
Through this competition, Panchayat Raj Institutions demonstrating outstanding performance will be encouraged and rewarded, thereby enhancing their overall efficiency.
The campaign period will be from 17 September to 31 December.
The key components of the Abhiyan include:
Strengthening Gram Panchayats and promoting good governance
Creation of water-secure, clean, and green villages
Convergence with MGNREGA and other government schemes
Livelihood development and social justice
Public participation and mass movement through Shramdaan (voluntary labour)
Based on the performance achieved during the campaign period, Gram Panchayats will be evaluated through a scoring system and selected for awards.
Under this Abhiyan, a total of 1,902 awards will be conferred at various levels.
At the State level:
The First Prize-winning Gram Panchayat will receive ₹5 crore
The First Prize-winning Panchayat Samiti will receive ₹2 crore
The First Prize-winning Zilla Parishad will receive ₹5 crore
In total, awards amounting to ₹245.20 crore will be distributed.
These awards will provide fresh motivation to Panchayat Raj Institutions, ensure comprehensive implementation of development schemes at the local level, and help build a healthy and competitive development ecosystem.
Innovative Initiative by Zilla Parishad Satara
While implementing this Abhiyan, Zilla Parishad Satara has introduced an innovative initiative in the form of a weekly time-bound programme. Under this initiative, specific criteria have been defined for the campaign, and all Gram Panchayats have been assigned objectives to carry out related activities during the respective weeks.
To effectively monitor the campaign:
WAR ROOMS have been established at both District and Taluka levels under government guidance to review progress.
Additionally, the Zilla Parishad is organising village visits and public meetings to ensure effective implementation and field-level engagement.
