The museum is currently under the Department of Archaeology and Museums, Government of Maharashtra.
Mayani Bird Sanctuary:
Due to the availability of food, shelter, and favorable environmental conditions, a wide variety of birds from India as well as foreign countries migrate here during the winter season. Birds such as eagles, hawks, flamingos, ducks, cranes, diving birds, and waders can be seen in large numbers. Spread over approximately 1.5 hectares, this sanctuary is known as the Indira Gandhi Bird Sanctuary.
Yamai Devi Temple, Aundh:
Near Aundh village, on an approximately 800-foot-high hill called “Mulpeeth,” stands the temple of Goddess Yamai. She is the village deity of Aundh and the family deity of the Pantpratinidhi family. Yamai Devi is considered one of the five principal goddesses of Maharashtra.
Pusegaon:
Pusegaon is situated on the banks of the Yerala River and is famous for being one of the eleven Lingas of the Nath tradition. The samadhi of Sevagiri Maharaj is located here; he took samadhi on 10 January 1947 after undertaking several welfare activities.
