Ramai Awaas Yojana
This scheme has been implemented in the district since 2016–17. Under the scheme, the funding pattern is 100% State Share.

Beneficiary Category: Scheduled Castes and Neo-Buddhists
Key Terms and Conditions:

The beneficiary family must be homeless or living in a kutcha house.

Caste certificate of the concerned category issued by the Sub-Divisional Officer.

Income certificate with a limit of ₹1.20 lakh issued by the Tahsildar.

Gram Sabha resolution regarding the selection of beneficiaries.

Proof of residence in Maharashtra for a minimum of 15 years.

The beneficiary family should not have availed of any housing scheme previously.

The beneficiary must own land or have sufficient land allotted by the Government for house construction.

Grant Amount: ₹1.20 lakh is directly deposited into the beneficiary’s bank account. Additionally, under convergence:
a) From MGNREGA – 90 days of unskilled labor wages (90 × 297) = ₹26,730/-
b) For toilet construction – If not previously provided, ₹12,000/- from Swachh Bharat Mission or MGNREGA.
Thus, a total assistance of ₹1,58,730/- is made available.

Beneficiary selection criteria
- Beneficiary should belong to Scheduled Castes and Neo-Buddhists of Maharashtra State.
- Beneficiary should be a resident of Maharashtra State for at least 15 years.
- Beneficiary should be homeless or have no fixed home.
- The annual income limit of the beneficiary family will be Rs.1.20 lakh for rural areas.
